2 - You can work for multiple employers using EAD. Typically EAD will not have any restrictions other than how long it is valid for.

I received my approval documents yesterday and today I noticed that my name is different from that displayed on my passport and previous H-1B approval.
I have a two-part last name and only the first part is displayed. Will this become an issue? The attorney tried to brush it off and said that the name was the same as the one on the petition (which of course he filled, so I don't know why he used this as an excuse).
I'd like to know if I need to do something about it. I don't want to have problems when exciting the country.
Any advice will be appreciated.

If you guys need any help in getting admission or if you are looking for the university that is offering full time CPT from the 1st semester just let me know, i am gonna help you out.
Our university is offering CPT from the 1st semester .This is also helpful if some changing the status (fromH4 to F1 or F2 to F1).If you have any question,you can reach me through email: gani.ojja@gmail.com.

Here is my scenario...
1. Applied my first EAD thru some lawyer (hence G-28)
2. I am planning to renew it on "my own"
Can I renew EAD without Attroney help... I know the answer "YES" but the main question is... do I need to inform USCIS saying that I want to withdraw my lawyer's and hence G-28 which was filed along with my first EAD?
If anyone are sucessful, please help me...My question is not on how to self apply EAD..My question is whether we need to inform USCIS about G-28...

It depends, on several factors inlcuding which service center it filed, is there any RFE or any document missing etc.
In ideal case it geenrally takes 4-8+ weeks.
If you want any fater within 2 weeks) you can file under premium prossing with addtional 1000$ fee.

Now that the I-485 gates have been opened, I would like to know what will happen to my spouse's H1B application pending before USCIS? Since I am planning on filing for I-485 for my spouse as well, will the H1B process make a difference? Or will the H1B approval cause any issues to the I-485 application?

I just wanted to ask for your general advice. My H1B expires in July 2010 so I know I have to turn in my PERM application before then so I really have only about 2 months to start recruitment process. I also have a green card to Canada so I could go there but I do like my current job in the US and living in New York City is really great!
Anyway, my question is. How tough do you think it will be to start PERM process now in this current economic downturn and the fact that it is in New York (millions of people)? Do you also think there might be some legislation in a near future to make it more difficult for us to get green cards?
I understand you can't answer those questions exactly, but a piece of advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all!

Hi there.....Even I want to find out if I-131 (AP) can be RENEWED without paying the fee when I-485 has been filed with the new fee structure. The USCIS site has not mentioned anything regarding the renewal fee for I-131 in this case (whereas it is clearly mentioned for the EAD). Is there anyone who can share his/her experience of AP renewal without paying the fee?
