I may get to the southlake store around 1:30-2:30. Its in suburb, but its also kind of a rich area. Do you think I will be good to get a black 32 wifi?

Well, the Xoom isn't tied to the carrier. Google uses it (currently, at least) as the reference device for their Honeycomb platform.

I think iPad 2 and iOS has advantages, but as an Apple supporter myself and user/dev owner, too, I think the hubris in this community is very dangerous.

The bigger they are, the higher they fly...you know how the saying goes. The U2 wasn't untouchable, and neither is the iPad 2. The sooner we get over this idea that there is an inherent superiority anything Apple, I really think the better off Apple and its products and the ecosystem actually will be!

Ever since Android was released on phones I have been hearing that it "is just a release or two away from being a great OS". The reality is that most Android devices are extremely lucky if they get one upgrade ported to them by their carrier. I'll stick with an iPad2 rather than buying something and hoping that it improves with time.

I think this is just a guy with the cydia application multifl0w and a white iphone 4. I have multifl0w and it looks very similiar to this and with a white iphone 4 conversion kit, it could be used to make a video like this.

I wonder if heating will be an issue with the Air's casing and Sandy Bridge processors. I've read/heard that they may cut the SB power in half (whatever that means; I apologize, my tech-knowledge is poor) to reduce heat, but what will that mean for the processing speed? Or might Apple have a solution by innovating the design/fans/whatever?

I wonder if this has anything to do with Apple's recent hire?

    http://www.macrumors.com/2010/03/15/apple-hires-expert-in-wearable-computing/

    For Example:
    http://www.ikey.com/ProductsList/?productID=158

    http://l3shop.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=SFNT&Store_Code=LSOS

hmmm... PA Semi's previous military contracts might have to do with this as well.

    Any conspiracy theories? lol

I'm a huge Apple fan, but the 3G/S were terrible design, you can like a company and still criticize it, how else will they know something is wrong?

    All Macs?

    Even Mac Mini?

Not sure about the mini specifically, but all Macs dating back to G3 PowerBooks (and probably earlier) have this capability, so I don't know why Apple would disable this in any of its newer offerings.

Note it may be worth deleting http://guides.macrumors.com/index.php?title=Category:Terminal_and_CLI&redirect=no and http://guides.macrumors.com/index.php?title=Category:iPod_and_AppleTV&redirect=no

As http://guides.macrumors.com/List_of_Applications_Not_Compatible_with_Leopard is marked for deletion it isn't getting a new category.

I can't imagine a fancy Swiss watch is any different from a Citizen or a Seiko. I would recommend going to one of those watch kiosks in a shopping mall and picking out a new band. Most of these places will install it for free.

OP, please don't take your $2,500 Omega to a mall kiosk!!!

I have an Omega Seamaster and changing the steel bracelet can be tricky. Take your time and shop for a quality band online- I suggest taking a look at what the folks at the watchuseek.com forums have to offer. There are a lot of members who make and sell their own leather bands and they're usually very affordable and can be made to order. They even have a forum dedicated to straps and bracelets (http://forums.watchuseek.com/f222/). If nothing else, they can at least point you in the right direction and suggest a good manufacturer to buy from.

Once you order a band and receive it, take it to an authorized jeweler (preferably someplace that sells the Omega brand) and let the experts do it. They'll have all the right tools and won't scratch or scuff the steel, like the teenager at the mall might, and they'll usually do it for free or for a very nominal fee. I'm sure you can probably even learn to do it yourself by browsing some of the watchuseek forums.

Hope that helps, good luck! :)

I hope it fixes the USB connection to Canon cameras. They broke it with 10.4.7. I'm still booting from my portable backup drive when shooting tethered (looks really pro on location).
I dread the going-backwards-sytem-reinstall BS tho, so that's what I have been doing.

For a replacement I am looking into US-made bikes.

US made bikes? HA. good luck - there are like 3 main manufacturers all over seas that put out most frames (Giant is a big one.) - past that SRAM and Shimano are going to be your group (i think SRAM still has some US plants). Wheels will be easier to find but hubs/rims - not so much.

I think it could be a real winner all round.

More and more TVs are being sold as "Internet Ready." The problem is, on most of them the implementation and user experience is horrible. Half of them require a CAT5 wired connection to your network. And the other half need optional Wi-Fi adapter. Most consumers have neither the time, skill, nor patience to buy, install, and configure them.

Then there is the issue of usability. It is awkward and time-consuming to try and navigate text boxes using most TV remotes.

Apple licensing AirPlay as a means of letting TVs show YouTube content, plus stream photos, music, and video content on your home pc or iPad/iPhone would be a tremendous feature for TV makers to sell.

The interesting question would be whether or not Apple licensed AirPlay to device makers of Android or Windows phones and tablets. This seems much less likely.

Did they really need a media event for such a small update?

I didn't think it was over yet and even if it is why wouldn't they want to show off what they've done?

I have a Treo and I love the keyboard but I have a hard time believing that a keyboard on an Apple branded phone would look good. I have yet to see any PDA phone that looked good with a keyboard. It just looks clunky. Maybe Apple can do it right. But all those chicklet sized buttons just look like a crazed Bedazzler-wielding mom attacted an innocent cell phone.

Interesting. I wonder if it's just a warehouse shortage for that area or carrier struggle?

Seems fraud is the reason from what that rep said in the chat. Maybe we have started to solve the mystery to this thread (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=613734). ;)
